Ceramic coating · Denver
A ceramic coating bonds to properly prepared paint to add gloss, repel water and make every wash easier. It works best when the paint underneath is right first.
What it is
A ceramic coating is liquid protection that cures into a hard, slick layer on top of your clear coat. It locks in whatever is underneath, which is why preparation, and often a paint enhancement or correction, comes first.
Done properly, the result is deeper gloss, water that beads and sheets away, and a finish that stays cleaner between washes.
Process
Most of a great coating happens before the coating.

Iron removal and clay take off bonded contamination that a wash leaves behind.
Polishing removes defects so the coating locks in a better finish, not the swirls.
A wipe-down removes polishing oils so the coating can bond to clean clear coat.
Applied panel by panel and leveled under proper lighting.
Time away from water and chemicals, following the guidance for your specific coating.
Clear instructions on washing and maintenance so it keeps performing.
Compare protection
Wax, ceramic and film solve different problems. Many owners combine them.
| Compare | Wax / sealant | Ceramic coating | Paint protection film |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | A thin topical layer | A cured, semi-permanent coating | A clear urethane film |
| Gloss & slickness | Good, but short-lived | Strong and longer-lasting | Depends on the film finish |
| Water behavior | Beads at first, fades quickly | Strong beading and sheeting | Varies; film can also be coated |
| Rock chips | No protection | No protection | Designed to absorb impacts |
| Upkeep | Frequent reapplication | Careful washing and periodic maintenance | Careful washing and periodic inspection |
| Best for | Short-term shine | Long-term gloss and easier care | High-impact areas and maximum physical protection |

Beyond the paint
Wheels, glass and trim can be protected too.

Maintenance plansDurability depends on the product, preparation, driving and care. Coating options and their realistic service life are confirmed at your consultation.
No. A coating adds a harder, slicker layer that makes washing safer, but it can still be scratched. For impact and chip protection, look at paint protection film.
It depends on the product, how well the paint was prepared, how the vehicle is driven and stored, and how it’s maintained. We’ll explain the realistic service life of the coating we recommend before you decide.
A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so most vehicles benefit from at least a one-step enhancement. Heavily swirled paint usually needs multi-stage correction first.
Ceramic is about gloss and easier care; PPF is about physical protection from chips and scuffs. Many owners put film on the front and coat the rest of the vehicle.
Yes, and it’s easier than before. Use pH-neutral soap and clean wash media, and avoid automatic brush washes. We’ll walk you through it after your appointment.
